Bluenose Coins & Precious Metals is a family operated business that has been serving Penticton and the Okanagan for more than 15 years. Kosta Bakalos is a lifetime member of the Canadian Numismatic Association. His passion is seeking Canada’s greatest rareties and helping some of his many clients (collectors) of Coin and Banknotes complete their collections.

Bluenose Coins and Precious Metals is proud to have handled three 1921 Canadian 50 cent pieces (considered the KING of Canadian Coins), one in Mint State 65 and two in Mint State 66, which were tied 2nd best out of about 75 known to exist.

Bluenose has also had the privilege to have handled, the finest known to exist, 1925 Bank of Canada $500 note, only eight of which are believed to have survived.

Bluenose takes pride in seeking the best possible coins and banknotes for their clients. For the last 10 years, they have also been a leader in buying and selling Precious Metals in the Okanagan. Kosta always takes the time to personally speak with anyone who comes to visit his store in Penticton to talk Coins, Banknotes and Precious Metals.
